This is what I did recently, using MS Office 2003 Pro and Acrobat 8 Pro, OS is Win XP Pro. Has anyone noted the file size/number of pages of the Word doc that is being converted? It maybe that if the file size of the word doc is too large hyperlinks won't convert, pointing to issues with the Acrobat application.

not what is listed as the destination URL. Also oddly, the URL of the displayed text is used for the link. Oddly enough I noticed that if the displayed text is a URL then the link would work, but that's pretty useless when I don't want the displayed text to be a URL. If I make any amendments to the original Word file and re-covert it to PDF I lose all the hyperlinks I had previously set up manually in the PDF and they have to be done all over again.After hours of testing and investigation this is the only way I could get links to work as well. Save the document, File -> Save as.This works OK for me, to an extent, but is only really suitable for documents with a small number of hyperlinks and/or a document that doesn't require updating at a later date. Links working fine now.Big hugs for you howdougdoesit, your solution is THE solution. Here's how I got them to work.Instead of doing "Print to PDF" I simply did "Save As" and chose the PDF option.
